Since 1937, when our first North American Brothers arrived in Lesotho and over the years, through the development of the nascent districts of Zambia in Zimbabwe, and now with the addition of Kenya, Uganda, and Zambia, our Brothers have attempted to help form what is today the Province of Eastern and Southern Africa. The dreams of the earliest of foundations have become the reality of independence with the Institute.

Mount Saint Charles Academy twins with Robert Shitima School  and St. Francis Secondary School

Mount Saint Charles Academy is a coeducational, Catholic, junior-senior high school located in Woonsocket, Rhode Island. Founded by the Brothers of The Sacred Heart in 1924, Mount Saint Charles Academy continues a tradition of educational excellence and holistic formation within a caring and supportive faith community.

The goal of the twinning program has been to raise money to build a classroom and feed the students for one year. As a result $16,400 US was raised for that purpose. Over the years, Mount has given an estimated $15,000 annually to the Province in support of our African Brothers and their students. Campus Ministry coordinates the Lenten Mission Drive.

Mount Saint Charles also twins with St. Francis Secondary School in Malole, Zambia
